ESTIMATES & COSTS
These steps produce an estimate of costs:
The item is brought in or sent to the studio. If it is brought
in, an on-the-spot, broad ballpark price range often can be
given, but this is not the binding estimate.
An estimate fee of $40.00 is collected. (The estimate fee is
not refundable but will be applied to the balance if the project
goes ahead.) At least one restorer examines the piece and carefully
estimates the time and steps required to restore it. The estimate
price range is created.
The client receives a call with the estimate figures and an
explanation of what will be included in the restoration.
NEXT STEPS:
If the client wishes to proceed, a deposit will be required.
The deposit is usually one half of the low end of the estimate.
Upon receipt of the deposit the item is put in the queue of
items awaiting restoration. If the client declines, arrangements
are made to return the item. This may include the cost of return
shipping. METHODS OF PAYMENT:
We accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and, of course,
cash.
